Carla Luecht has done a wonderful job at taking a real-life family story and turning it into a captivating book. You find yourself becoming a part of the story.
At first, you are outraged that a church leadership would think they are the ones that can tell you how you can live your life and where you can buy and sell from. The outrage turns to fear for the family and those that they are in fellowship with, outside of the church’s rule. The sorrow of leaving friends, family, and belongs behind to find the strength of starting life over in America.
This is a great story of how many of those that came to America because of religious persecution, was because the church was dictating their lives. Many times I have thought it was just the government that said you can’t worship God.

Intriguing! The story is relatable to today’s events. And the cover is very inviting. You’ve made a nice invitation to read it. Thanks!
