Elohim Reading Plan

Why not start with the very first name for God that is mentioned in the Bible. Elohim is first mentioned in Genesis 1:1 and over 2000 times in the old testament. It is a masculine noun and the plural form of the Hebrew word  Eloah which also means God.

In Genesis, we see that Elohim is the Creator of everything. Nothing existed until He spoke it into existence. My techy son likes to point out that sound came before light. Without a sound, there would be nothing.

Our first look at Elohim is that He is creative and caring.  He likes to get His hands dirty and desires to have a relationship with His creation. Take time to read the Creation story today and where you see God replace it with Elohim.
