Book Review-The Life We Never Expected

Living with a special needs child can be very isolating. You never know what would set them off. Our oldest son was diagnosed at 18 months with hydrocephalus. He would scream because of the pain in his head and there was no set triggers. Not in a million years would I have expected living with a special needs child could be so walking on eggshells.

I would have loved to have “The Life We Never Expected”, to read when I was in the midst of it all. I could identify so well to the meltdowns, the quirks…. I thoroughly love the encouragement that they throw in. Finally, someone that understands what it is like and the importance of having friend’s that are there for support.

Who can benefit from this book? Definitely the parents of any special need child, along with their family, friends, pastors, children ministry pastors and leaders, teachers, basically anyone that is involved with any special needs children. The support system for the parents is really important and this book helps in letting them know just what is needed.

I want to thank Andrew and Rachel Wilson for being so open to letting others see just what it is like and what help is needed.
