We all can use help now and then, just seems like there isn’t enough time in the day to get things done. Or circumstances in our lives are just getting us down and we are ready to throw in the towel. We need someone to come along side of us and help us.
Jesus promised that once He left the disciples He would send a Helper to come along side. Sure the Holy Spirit is not going to do the laundry or the dishes. He is there to teach us in all things that God has for us and to help us remember what He said when we need it.
It seems like these days with all the turmoil and strife going on we really need His help to remember what Jesus said about peace. The peace that Jesus gave us is not found in this world or what the world is searching for right now. The peace is knowing that we are right with God because of Jesus.
When we have that peace then we don’t need to be troubled by what is going on in this world because we get the gentle reminders from the Holy Spirit that God has it. He also reminds us that Jesus is coming back for us. With that as the good news we can focus on what needs to be done.
So can the Holy Spirit help us with the daily things of life? Yes, as long as we ask Him to. We can invite Him in to help with the laundry, dishes and other housework by listening to worship music. You know like the dawrfs did in Snow White, “Just worship while you work…” OH, Wait! That was whistle. Still works, listening to worship music as you are doing your daily grind helps it to move a lot faster.
When you find yourself in a traffic jam use it to pray, with your eyes open of course. Pray for the other drivers around you. Also, since you are sitting there going know where ask the Lord what He wants you to do for the day.
When we start bringing the Holy Spirit into our day to day, minute by minute life we can experience more and more of His peace as things they we stress about fall into place.
Lovely perspective & reminder. Thank you for sharing your thoughts today.
