When I think of living in unity bees are what come to my mind. They are focused on the survival of the hive. Each having a different job yet they live in unity to protect the queen.
That is what Jesus desires for us to live in the same unity that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit do. Just picture if they were to act as many Christians do. What if instead of coming to Earth for Jesus said, “I’m not going. They don’t want me and are going to kill me. Nope, I’m not doing this.” Instead, the three of them were in in unison as to what had to be done to bring man back into fellowship with God. The whole focus of their unity was love.
Yet, Christians are very diverse. There are numerous denominations. Churches have split over the smallest of differences. I’m sure that there are people at your church that you’re like I would never want to get to know them. That is not living in unity.
So before you look at someone and decide that they are not worth you getting to know, take time and think would you want God to think that of you. You are an ambassador of God not just to this world to fellow Christians. There is unity in His love and grace. That is what we are to give to each other even if we can’t agree with each other. For 1 Peter 4:8 says it all,
Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.
