Book Review – God Bless Us Every One

Classics, at Christmas there are certain classics that we all look to as what Christmas is. White Christmas with Bing Crosby, The Miracle On 34th Street, The Nutcracker, It’s A Wonderful Life, and Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, just to name a few.

Charlie Dixon doesn’t see much need for the classics, especially A Christmas Carol when it comes to doing school plays at Christmas. She would much rather do a popular musical than the classics. Losing her job over this Charlie returns home to her grandmother’s house.

There Charlie has to deal with a few of her own ghosts as Sis, her grandmother, puts her to work helping an old flame, Dustin Kennedy, prepare A Christmas Carol for the high school drama class.

One thing that I like is how Eva Marie Everson has taken a quote  from Dickens’ A Christmas Carol at the opening of the chapter and wove them into the book. This is one book I had a hard time putting down. Great to read wrapped in a blanket by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa.
