Reflection

A reflection isn’t perfect. Other things can get in the way and distort it. Unless the lake is completely still you can’t get a mirror image of the trees and sky. That image is gone once the wind picks up or a stone is thrown into it. When we look into the mirror the reflection is not us, it can mimic us as we stand in front of it but when we walk away we are no longer in the mirror.

Likewise, with the things here on earth are only temporary. Come next year there will be another Super Bowl champion. Seasons come and go. Fashions are always changing. What was in last week isn’t in this week or so it seems.  This world is constantly changing and sometimes it is not for the good.

There is one constant in all this earth, that is the love of God. God’s love never changes. There is no end to it. It isn’t self-seeking but always puts others first. God’s love places the highest value on us in that He sent his Son to die in our place.

The question is when people look at you do they see a mirror image of God’s love or is it like the picture above with other stuff in it that truely doesn’t reflect God’s love?
