Sister of Martha

As we look at the Marys of Easter there are certain things that we will see in each of them that goes with them due to the name Mary.

Mary in it’s Hebrew form Mara means; stubborn, rebellious, defiant, and bitter. In her Facebook Live greeting to a group study about Mary, Andy Lee shares how in another dictionary she found that Mary also means, “beloved gift of God,” and how Jesus even redeemed their name.

As we look at the Marys let’s first see the how they were stubborn, rebellious, and bitter. Then take a look at how Jesus transformed them into the beloved gift of God.
