She Found Him Faithful

What will people say about you when you are dead? On your headstone, what will matter is not the date you were born or the date you died, but the dash in between. In Hebrews 11:11, we see Sarah’s dash.

As we look at Sarah’s life over the next few weeks we’ll see times that her faith was strong and times that her faith was weak. She is a great example of God being able to work in our lives even when we get in the way because our faith is little.

We see her several times trusting God to protect her. Yet, the one thing God asked her to trust Him in was the hardest for her to do.

In Hebrews 11:1, we find the definition of faith;

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

What an example for a young virgin hundred of years later when she received the same news that she was going to have a Son. With what happened to Sarah in her mind no wonder she was able to say, “Nothing is impossible with God.”

May Sarah be our example of faith to follow and be called her daughters.
