Book Review – 31 Proverbs To Light Your Path

This is one of my all-time favorites devotionals. Liz Curtis Higgs has taken various verses throughout the book of Proverbs. One thing I love about her devotions is that Liz has taken and broken the verse down phrase by phrase. As she expounds on the phrase she has taken the time to research it in different versions and took words from other versions to help explain that phrase and noted the version by the word, which opens up the meaning of the phrase. In the back of the book, each day has two thoughtful and thought-provoking questions which also promotes one to look deeper into the Bible for understanding and applying it to one’s life.  This devotional is a great way to start off the new year and would make a great Christmas gift.
