When the Children of Israel crossed into the Promised Land, they only had to follow the commands that God gave them and He would bless them in the land. However, generations later they left the path they were placed on. Because of their action they received the promise of God’s discipline.
We are under a new covenant and our sins are covered by the blood of Jesus. This doesn’t give us the right to do whatever we want to do.
The religious leaders at the time of Jesus asked Him what was the greatest command. He answered them by saying to love God with all that is within you, next is to love your neighbor as yourself.
As our path is to be more like Jesus daily, we will desire to love God more and treat others as Jesus treated those He was with.
There may come times we can’t see where our path might lead. Yet, when we follow what Jesus said and trust God in His leading our path will be made clear.
