You can’t find your purpose in a fortune cookie. It doesn’t know you and was made by another human or machine. The only way to find your purpose is to know your Maker. In Genesis 1:26-28, we can see God’s planned purpose for man. Although out the Bible we can see God reveal His plan for certain people. David was to become king. Solomon was to build the temple. Mary the mother of Jesus. Peter a leader in the church after he denied Jesus. Saul the persecutor of the church to become Paul and write most of the New Testament.
Several years ago the Lord revealed to me that He wanted me to start writing to make the Bible applicable to daily life. Last year He revealed a new endeavor for my writing which is to write a book on Rahab in a way she seems like a real person yet historically and Biblically correct. While I’m in the middle of writing about Rahab He gave me the vision of Ruth next.
To know your purpose, be in the Bible daily and in pray seek His guidance.
