Never Stop Learning

Who woke up early in the morning and eager to go school? I think the only time that I would be excited to go to school was if something special was going on that day, like a field trip. I even have to admit there was a time I didn’t want to go to church because I was in a private school and we had Bible every day so why should I go to church, especially when the teacher was saying God doesn’t do things the way He did things in the past?  That went totally against what I read in the Bible and was being taught in school. One thing I have learned is no matter how many times you have read a passage of the Bible you will always get something new out of it.

Now, I will find myself focused on a passage or verse throughout the day and seeing it unfold in the day’s happenings. What do I get out of meditating on the Word of God? There are several benefits on meditating on the Bible verses.

Frist, by keeping a passage before you for the day or a week you eventually will memorize it. Then when you need it in a conversation, for the encouragement on a tough day, or instruction in dealing with a tragedy.

Next, by knowing God’s Word we are prepared for when the enemy attacks us. We learn his methods and how to stand firm against him. We are given the armor to wear daily to protect us from those attacks.

Finally, His word is good for us to follow His as daily guidelines. They give us dietary, financial, health, and relationship instructions. As a matter of fact, you could say that the Bible is basic instruction before leaving Earth manual.
